Zipforce has been selected as the only Swedish sustainable mobility startup in a new EU initiative to help and contribute to a more liveable and green urban space.
From over 70 applications from across Europe and associated countries, the E+Mobility consortium has chosen Zipforce as one of the 12 most promising startups in the fields of energy, micromobility, and shared mobility to be part of the first edition of the E+Mobility Accelerator Program. The project is funded by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an EU body.
Zipforce will benefit from individualized mentorship, training, expert workshops, free office space, product and technology validation with access to a network of living laboratories, and access to EIT Urban Mobility's investment initiatives and funding instruments, among other advantages provided by the international consortium partners.
Zipforce focuses on solving a mobility-related problem with a unique innovation that makes our lives easier and happier. Zipforce transforms urban mobility to adapt it to society's needs.
EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Its vision is to support and encourage positive changes in how people move around cities to make them more liveable places. The goal is to become the largest European initiative transforming urban mobility and thereby creating more vibrant urban spaces. By promoting innovation and transformation, the program aims to improve people's quality of life, reduce carbon emissions, and make Europe's economy more competitive.
"We are delighted to have been selected and look forward to beginning our collaboration with the EIT Urban Mobility team to further develop and expand our technology. After being showcased as one of the Swedish innovations at the World Exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai this year, this is further proof that the global community is ready to overcome obstacles to micromobility and move towards more sustainable modes of transport," says Zipforce founder Måns Bengtsson.

Zipforce has developed a portable electric motor that converts regular bicycles into electric bicycles. Smart technology combined with Swedish engineering creates a sustainable, affordable, and fun way to electrify existing bicycles. Zipforce is a Swedish company from Stockholm, aiming to revolutionize electric cycling and make it more sustainable with its innovation.
