Zipforce gives existing bikes a new lease of life. Both product development and manufacturing take place in Sweden. For you as a customer, this means the assurance that we always choose components that meet our high standards of quality, and that we can take responsibility for you as a customer and your Zipforce product before, during, and after your ownership. We are passionate about smart and creative reuse and want to solve traffic and transportation challenges worldwide while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.

IT STARTED WITH A COMMUTING DREAM

Zipforce founder Måns Bengtsson came up with the idea for Zipforce in 2016 when his commute to work became longer. Måns wanted to cycle to and from the bus station but didn't want to leave an expensive e-bike at the station due to the risk of theft. Instead, he considered having a small electric motor that was easy to remove from the bike and easy to carry in his bag.

Four years later, a finished product was available: the portable and smart e-bike motor.

In spring 2020, we launched the Zipforce ONE electric motor in Sweden with immediate success. In 2022, two new products entered the market, Zipforce Slim and Zipforce Distance. In 2022, the company also began an expansion, starting in the EU.

The product is manufactured in Lagan, Småland. The company's headquarters are located in central Stockholm. Zipforce is patented in Sweden, and work on an international patent is ongoing. Zipforce is design protected in the EU and China.

OUR MISSION

There are more than a billion ordinary bicycles worldwide. Zipforce's mission is to electrify the planet's existing bicycles in a smart and cost-effective way through creative reuse and transformation, with the aim of creating a product of higher value with a lower climate footprint.

Zipforce should be a smart alternative to a dedicated electric bicycle because the user can mount Zipforce on their existing bicycle and therefore does not need to buy a newly manufactured electric bicycle. The electric motor can also be moved between different bicycles so that more family members can cycle with electric assistance.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to give existing bicycles a new life, saving both energy and various types of resources.

The long-term ambition is to convert more than 250,000 existing bicycles into smart and affordable e-bikes in the coming years. Our quick-mount electric motor enables the conversion from a regular bicycle to an e-bike for anyone who owns a standard bicycle. Zipforce gives an extra boost to all conscious people in the world.
